Steve Jobs’ Biopic Gets Official Release Date

Universal’s take on the late computer mogul’s life has been set for a release on October 9th. Read on for more about the movie!

The next Steve Jobs?

Michael Fassbender will star as Jobs in the Danny Boyle-directed film, which will cover the rise and fall and rise of Jobs during his time at Apple, culminating in the release of the iMac in 1998. The script was written by Aaron Sorkin, who now seems to be the go-to A-list writer for tech stories, having been so successful with penning Mark Zuckerberg’s story for David Fincher’s The Social Network.

The supporting cast around Fassbender is also noteworthy and includes Seth Rogen (dramatic turn?!) as Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak, Jeff Daniels as John Sculley, Apple’s former CEO, Katherine Waterston as Jobs’ wife Chrisann Brennan, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld, an early Apple employee.

Mark your calendars, this sounds like one you won’t want to miss. Let us know what you think in the comments!
