  1. Although Matt Damon had a superb tour de force in the Martian, I believe that Will Smith’s acting in Concussion was so revealing. The close camera shots betray the truths told in this film. I suspect that the truths I’m referring to in this film are too damming to America’s favorite sport. To paraphrase Abert Brooks character, you’re going against the people who own a day of the week! Once again the Academy has cowed to the people with the wallets. Idres Elba was also ignored. Why ? Is it too ghastly to admit that mankind is still so primitive as to behave so cruelly?

Make yourself heard!
