James Wan Will Direct AQUAMAN, then ROBOTECH

After coming off the huge success of Furious 7, news has broke that director James Wan will be taking on Aquaman, starring Jason Momoa, for Warner Bros, then move right into Robotech, an anime adaptation being cooked up by Sony. See more details after the break!

Jason Momoa as Aquaman

Hitting a $1.7 billion global, box office jackpot with his direction of Furious 7, Wan is now one of the hottest filmmakers in Hollywood, and studios are showing they’re willing to wait for him. Wan’s next project will be The Conjuring 2: The Endfield Experiment, which means he won’t be able to divert his full attention to Aquaman until spring of next year.

Of course, we already know Momoa is going to be appearing in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. It’ll be very interesting to see what the reception of his character is like, and we might get a better idea of what a Wan-directed film focused on the underwater hero would look like.
