A torrent of trailers came out yesterday and instead of devoting a post each, I’m diving in to all of them! See them all at the break.
It’s pretty clear from this trailer Michael Fassbender is going to kill this Shakespearian adaptation. Supported by Marion Cotillard as Lady Macbeth, this looks like it will turn out like something close to Braveheart in style but with more iambic pentameter.
With an ensemble that includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Keira Knightley, Robin Wright, Jason Clarke, Michael Kelly (House of Cards), Josh Brolin, Sam Worthington, and John Hawkes (inhale), this one is going to be pretty hard to screw up. This looks like some classic, “edge-of-your-seat”, man vs nature drama, and I’m very much looking forward to it.

This Sundance Film Festival debut is based on the post-apocalyptic novel of the same name by Robert C. O’Brien, published post-humously in 1974. Although the material is a bit dated, the trailer focuses on it as a character study, with a love-triangle played out by Margot Robbie, Chiwetel Ejiofor, and Chris Pine.
