The web-slinger is going to be added to the slate of movies that includes the Avengers series! Check out full details after the break for more.
According to a co-announcement by Sony Pictures Entertainment and Marvel Studios, a new iteration of Spider-Man will appear next in a movie from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the all-encompassing world that the movies produced independently by Marvel exist in (for example: see The Avengers: Age of Ultron, which will release this May).
Due to the new collaboration, release dates will now been updated as well. The next standalone Thor movie, Thor: Ragnarok, will now be pushed from Summer 2017 to November 3rd, 2017. The Black Panther (starring 42′s Chadwick Boseman) will be moved from that date to July 6th, 2018. Captain Marvel will be pushed from that date to November 2nd, 2018, then Inhumans will be moved from there to July 12th, 2019. Quite the 4 year domino effect! Not to worry though, the Fantastic Four date is still set for August 7th.
After two separate reboots, it sounds like Spider-Man is getting another makeover, and we’re excited to see how the addition of the character will affect the Marvel Universe! So many possibilities!!
